# Terminal overview

What you see in the Origami Terminal, how the symbol and account selectors drive every widget, and where to go next.

The Terminal is the trading screen of Origami. It opens on **Terminal** in the top navigation and shows a grid of widgets — chart, Order Book, Manual Orders, positions, orders and bots — that all follow one selected symbol and account.

## What is on the screen

| Area | What it does |
| ---------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Header selectors | Pick the exchange, symbol and account that widgets follow. See [Symbol and account context](#symbol-and-account-context). |
| Layout controls | **Add Widget** and **Layouts** menus in the header. See [Layouts and widgets](/terminal/layouts-and-widgets.md). |
| Widget grid | A 24-column grid where you drag, resize and stack widgets. Each widget can hold up to 5 tabs. |

The default layout contains **Chart Percept**, **Order Book** with a **Market Trades** tab, **Manual Orders**, and one widget with **Bots**, **Open Positions** and **Balances** tabs.

## Widgets

Widgets are grouped in the **Add Widget** dialog the same way as below.

* [Chart TradingView](/terminal/charts.md#chart-tradingview) — TradingView candlestick chart with order and position lines.
* [Multi-Chart Scanner](/terminal/charts.md#multi-chart-scanner) — a 2×2 or 3×3 grid of mini charts filled with your largest positions.

**Portfolio**

* [Open Positions](/terminal/positions.md) — live positions with P\&L, liquidation and breakeven prices, TP/SL.
* [Active Orders](/terminal/active-orders-and-history.md) — working orders, including algo orders you can pause, resume and cancel.
* [Orders History](/terminal/active-orders-and-history.md#orders-history) — filled and cancelled orders with fees.
* [Balances](/terminal/balances.md) — total, available and reserved balances per account.
* [Bots](/terminal/bots-and-variables.md) — status and controls of all bots in the project.
* [Market Trades](/terminal/market-trades.md) — real-time trade tape for the selected symbol.

**Others**

* [Manual Orders](/terminal/manual-orders.md) — Limit and Market orders, plus [Chase, TWAP, VWAP](/terminal/algo-orders.md) and [Scaled](/terminal/scaled-orders.md) orders.
* [Order Book](/terminal/order-book.md) — bids, asks and depth for the selected symbol.
* [DOM](/terminal/dom.md) — price ladder with traded volume and imbalance.
* [Variables](/terminal/bots-and-variables.md#variables) — global variables used by grids in the project.

## Symbol and account context

The header has two selectors:

* **Symbol** — shows **Select an exchange** or **Select a symbol** until you pick one. The picker has a **Search symbol** field, **Spot** / **Futures** switch, exchange chips (**All** or one exchange), and **All** / **Recent** lists with columns **Symbol**, **Exchange**, **24h Change**, **Volume (USDT)** and **Max Lev**.
* **Account** — **Choose Account**. Only accounts of the selected exchange are listed.

Every widget in the **Default** group follows these selectors. Changing the symbol in the header switches the chart, Order Book, DOM, Market Trades and Manual Orders at once; table widgets can filter to the current symbol, exchange or account through their gear menu.

### Colour groups

To watch two markets at the same time, move widgets into a colour group. Groups are **Orange**, **Yellow**, **Light Blue**, **Blue**, **Purple** and **Magenta**; each holds its own exchange, symbol and account, independent from the header.

1. Open the widget's tab menu and choose **Change Group**.
2. Pick a colour. The tab shows a dot in that colour.
3. In the same menu choose **Symbol** to set the symbol and account for the group.

All widgets in the same colour share the binding, so a Blue Order Book, Blue chart and Blue Manual Orders form a second, independent trading set. **Default** returns the widget to the header selectors.
